IMMEDIATELY HIRING - QUALITY CONTROL INSPECTOR (LEAD) - WICHITA, KS

 

Join our highly skilled Maintenance Team as we open our new Part 145 Repair Station in Wichita, KS!!!

 

 

The Lead Quality Control Inspector will perform their duties and responsibilities as listed below in support of the company’s 14 CFR Part 145 Certified Repair Station. The Lead Inspector reports to the Accountable Manager and is responsible for the overall operation of the Repair Station Location. This will be a Repair Station location modifying and configuring state-of-the-art Avionics and EMS medical equipment installed on company operated Aircraft. Applicant must be able to accomplish all technical and administrative functions with little to no direct supervision.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Communicate directly with the Accountable Manager concerning matters with their aircraft or articles.
  • Assist, supervise, and direct all personnel assigned to each department.
  • Ensure all inspections are properly performed on all completed work and that the proper inspection records, reports, and forms used by the Repair Station are properly executed prior to releasing the product for Return to Service.
  • Ensure periodic checks are made on all inspection tools and the calibration of precision test equipment used by the Repair Station and mechanics that have their own precision equipment. Further, ensure that a current record of those inspections and test is maintained.
  • Ensure no defective, unserviceable, or unairworthy parts are installed in any component or articles released by the Repair Station.
  • Submit Service Difficulty Reports to the FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) of any serious failures, malfunctions, or defects of an article in accordance with 14 CFR § 145.221 or to provide such information to the customer for submittal to the FAA, if that is the customer’s preferred method.
  • Ensure the proper execution of a maintenance release.
  • Ensure final acceptance and receiving inspections have been performed of all incoming material, including new parts, supplies, and the airworthiness of articles.
  • Ensure preliminary, hidden damage, in-progress, and final inspection of all articles processed by the Repair Station and record results as outlined in this manual. Ensures inspections are documented, as applicable, on all Repair Station work orders.
  • Provide for continuity of inspection responsibility, assuring completion of required inspection when personnel shift or assignment changes occur.
  • Ensure rejected and unserviceable parts are handled to prevent their reuse as serviceable parts.
  • Establish standards for the creation and retention of training records for all Guardian Flight, LLC. employees that perform maintenance (including inspection), preventive maintenance, and alteration tasks.
  • Allow and accommodate FAA personnel to inspect per 14 CFR § 145.223.
  • Ensure and enforce Repair Station Personnel adhere to the policies and procedures of the Repair Station Manuals.
  • Ensure proper tagging and identification of all articles as applicable.
  • Currency and distribution of all technical data used by the Repair Station location.

MINIMUM:

 

(Qualifyed Quality Control Inspectors will have the following skills and experience)

  • Current FAA A&P License.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience maintaining aircraft for a 14 CFR Part 135 and/or Part 145 Certified Repair Station.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience Managing and/or Team Lead of a Maintenance Department.
  • Ability and willingness to gain a thorough knowledge of the Part 145 Certified Repair Station, Company Manual System, and all applicable Federal Aviation Regulations.
  • Ability and willingness to work a flexible schedule during the duty period assigned.
  • Possess sound judgment and objectivity in critical decision-making situations.
  • Possess honesty, integrity, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and compliant Aircraft.
  • Computer skills including a good working knowledge of Adobe and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Salary Range: $35.00-$45.00
