Weatherford is hiring a Quality Control Inspector for our Santa Paula facility. The Quality Control Inspector will be working within a supportive, inclusive team in a fast-paced, progressive environment. Weatherford provides training, excellent benefits and fantastic career progression.
This is the intermediate job level. Check and test samples of a product, as it would be impractical to test every single item that leaves a factory or workshop. Inspect products purchased by their company from suppliers and maintain records of supplier performance. This data is important in helping suppliers to improve their performance and for making decisions regarding which suppliers can be relied on to meet specified requirements.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: (not listed in any particular order)
- Check and test samples of a product.
- Inspect products purchased by their company from suppliers and maintain records of supplier performance.
- To carry out the inspection related activities of all components and assemblies in WFRD
- Dimensional and visual in-process inspection in conjunction with controlled drawings and applicable specifications.
- Final inspection of all jobs performed in the facility and 100% inspection of finished components.
- Work assignments carried out to the highest quality level.
- Responsible for inspecting products using established inspection tools and techniques.
- Apply Weatherford, and where appropriate Client Company Quality, Health, Safety & Environment Policy and Management Systems.
- Must understand and comply with all safety rules and company policies of Weatherford.
- Work assignments carried out to the highest quality level.
- Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.
Qualifications
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001 in a productive environment.
- Should be familiar with API requirements..
- Oilfield machine shop experience will be an added advantage.
