Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Department of Labor is commissioning CLFC Healthcare to deploy nurses and rehabilitation counselors nationwide, providing the Office of Workers' Compensation Programs, which is responsible for the administration of the Federal Employee's Compensation Act (FECA) with comprehensive nursing care and vocational rehabilitation case management services. This initiative aims to assist individuals who have suffered workplace-related injuries or illnesses in their recovery and eventual return to work.
- Providing day-to-day oversight to ensure adherence to Quality Control measures for vocational rehabilitation and nursing services.
- Collaborating with the Contract’s Trainer and FECA program to integrate quality assurance findings into training materials.
- Ensuring timely assignment and servicing of cases, and managing case reassignments.
- Ensuring compliance with OWCP Records Management policies and Privacy Act of 1974.
- Monitoring day-to-day activities, including assigning work projects, scheduling functions, and establishing priorities.
- Assuring quality, quantity, and accuracy of work performed.
- Assisting in recruiting and screening qualified Contractor’s RC, FN, or TN Nurses.
- Training and monitoring progress of contract staff.
- Assisting the Contract Manager in developing corrective action plans and assessing training needs.
- Acting on behalf of the Contract Manager as needed.
- Verifying accuracy, quality of services, and cost-effectiveness of all paid services.
Background and Experience:
- Minimum of five years of Quality Control knowledge and experience in similar tasks.
- Ability to ensure quality deliverables and meet performance standards.
- Knowledge of Federal workers’ compensation laws, regulations, and processes (preferred).
- Experience with nursing and/or vocational rehabilitation case management in FECA or other workers' compensation arenas (preferred).
- Proven track record in meeting deliverable schedules and performance requirements for similar-sized programs.
Physical Requirements:
Potentially some travel for oversight duties.
