Quality Ballistics Technician

Winchester, LLC (“Winchester”), considered one of the world’s leading ammunition manufacturers, is seeking a Quality Ballistics Technician. This position will be located at the Oxford, Mississippi facility. Quality Ballistics Technicians start at $19.18/hour with an increase to $21.40/hour after successfully completing 90 days.

Essential Functions*:

• Fire product and ensure it falls within the following specifications:
  • Velocity and Pressure
  • Function and Casualty
  • Accuracy
  • Matching
  • Bullet Integrity/Stripping
• Hand load product in accordance with the specifications
• Make and shoot gelatin
• Perform range maintenance, upkeep, and cleaning duties
• Support the Winchester ISO 9001:2000 compliance initiatives

Position Requirements*:

• Minimum of one (1) year of recent, continuous work experience, manufacturing experience preferred.
• Microsoft Office product knowledge
• Ability to calculate averages and standard deviations on a calculator; Ability to read a ruler
• Detail oriented with a high degree of accuracy
• Ability and willingness to work overtime, to include weekends
• This position requires access to ITAR controlled technical data, and as such, employment will be contingent upon the candidate's ability to access ITAR controlled technical data pursuant to an export license approved by the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls, if required
• This position requires successful vetting as an Employee Possessor in accordance with U.S. Department of Justice and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives
• Prior experience in a relevant position preferred.
