Quality Assurance Trainer - Ksc

JOB SUMMARY:

Preform Quality Assurance duties at Kennedy Space Center in an efficient and effective manner.

EXAMPLES OF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

The list of essential functions below is intended to be representative of the tasks performed within this job. Other duties may be assigned based on business need.

• Execute, monitor, and modify (as necessary) the Quality Assurance Plan to assure satisfactory performance.
• Provide training to all new hires and retrain as necessary.
• Perform specified inspections (daily and follow-up).
• When problem areas/complaints are identified, investigate, and develop a corrective action response as appropriate and follow-up to ensure appropriate results were achieved.
• Maintain comprehensive operational and contract documentation.
• Works to spread best practices and provide compliance with Cleaning Industry Management Standard (CIMS) certification.
• Perform custodial duties in the field based on operation needs.
• Keep the management team informed of performance problems, contract discrepancies, and quality issues as they arise.
• Other duties may be assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:

• None

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma.
• Prior Quality Assurance or training experience.
• Must be able to pass a background screening for access to the work areas.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver's license. Must be able to pass a Motor Vehicle Report background screening.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and evenings, as needed.
• Must be able to understand, speak, read, and write the English language.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Associate Degree in related field.
• Prior industry, custodial, or comparable experience preferred.
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred.

In addition to meeting the minimum qualifications listed above, an individual must be able to perform each of the established essential functions in order to perform this job successfully.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

• Ability to work with limited supervision.
• Good communication skills (e.g., able to effectively respond to common inquiries or complaints; able to satisfactorily present information in oral or written formats).
• Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Effective interpersonal skills. Able to get along with diverse personalities and abilities; is tactful, professional and customer service oriented.
• Reasoning Ability: Able to identify issues or problems, evaluate facts and draw valid conclusions. Able to “think-on-your-feet”.
• Good administrative skills; comfortable performing multiple tasks concurrently.

TRAVEL

No travel is expected for this position.

WORK AUTHORIZATION/SECURITY CLEARANCE (IF APPLICABLE)

Must be authorized to access and work on government installations.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Requirements will vary depending on the assigned tasks. This position does require the following: repetitive lifting, push/pull, carrying, walking, climbing, squatting, kneeling and prolonged standing. Will involve lifting/moving up to 40 pounds. These requirements can be done with or without reasonable accommodation.

ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Tasks are regularly performed in both climate-controlled areas and areas that have no air conditioning or heat with possible exposure to adverse environmental conditions (e.g., dirt, heat, cold, rain, fumes).
• Will need to use any personal protective equipment (PPE) as designated, properly, and consistently.
• Involves exposure to hazardous materials (i.e., cleaning solutions and bio-waste hazards).
• Required inoculations and training provided by the company.

SENSORY REQUIREMENTS:

Some tasks require manual dexterity, in addition to visual and hearing acuity.

Availability

Full Time: $25.51/Hour

Shift Time: Core hours are Mon-Fri 7 am - 3:30 pm with flexibility for weekends and nights as needed.
