Job Title: QA/QC Analyst

Location: Remote but must be located in Dallas TX, Phoenix AZ, Charlotte NC, or Newark

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced QA/QC Analyst to join our AML Investigations team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Anti-Money Laundering (AML) investigations and a thorough understanding of regulatory requirements. The primary responsibility of the QA/QC Analyst will be to ensure the accuracy and quality of Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) generated by the investigations team.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct Quality Assurance reviews of SARs and other investigative reports to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Identify and report any errors or inconsistencies in the investigation reports, and provide feedback to the investigations team for improvement.
  • Collaborate with the investigations team to develop and implement quality control processes and procedures.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest AML regulations, industry best practices, and emerging trends in AML investigations.
  • Assist in the development and delivery of training programs for the investigations team to enhance their understanding of AML regulations and reporting requirements.
  • Participate in internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and support as required.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Compliance, Legal, and Risk, to ensure alignment and consistency in AML investigations processes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or 3+ years of related experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience conducting QA/QC reviews of AML investigations, preferably in a financial institution or regulatory agency.
  • Strong knowledge of AML regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), USA PATRIOT Act, and other relevant laws and regulations.
  • Experience in writing Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) and familiarity with the red flags and typologies associated with money laundering and terrorist financing.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify errors or inconsistencies in investigative reports.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound judgments.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex information to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Professional certifications such as Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) or Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) are preferred.
