Job Summary
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented QA (Quality Assurance) Technician to join our team. The Quality Assurance Technician is responsible for ensuring production produces consistent quality and safe products. The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a passion for maintaining high-quality standards in a production environment.
Essential Job Functions
- Collects hourly samples of pie filings and finished pies.
- Performs daily pie filling and finish pies evaluation, Including the testing of Brix, pH, temperature, and viscosity of filling, total, monitor finish product weigh, and does confirm all parameters are within specification, finally conducts organoleptic properties evaluation of ingredients and finished pies.
- Monitors and reviews Q.A. and production line paperwork for accuracy and completion.
- Performs periodic check on x-ray machines during production runs
- Performs periodic checks on finished products weight, temperature, and packaging date codes
- Performs daily inspection of production areas, equipment, and food containers for cleanliness.
- Conducts and Inspects X-ray efficiency and documents X-ray working condition and records rejected products.
- Monitors and records process control, such as Egg Tank Temperature
- Monitors and Enforces GMP, SOP and SSOP procedures throughout the production facility
- Inspects and evaluates incoming ingredients for quality and possible food safety issues.
- Coordinates with production to trouble-shoot quality and food safety issues
- Document incidents related to Food Quality, Food Safety, and non-compliance to initiate investigation and finding root cause and corrective action to finalize investigation process.
Food Safety Responsibilities
- All employees are required to immediately report and assist in the elimination or control of any food safety issues they observe to their supervisor
- Reinforces the use of GMP, SOP, and SSOP procedures throughout the facility.
- Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices and Pre-requisite programs
Qualifications
- Preferably trained and certified in HACCP
- One year experience in quality control or Quality Assurance in food related processing environment
- Ability to read and write effectively in English.
- Basic computer skills
- Simple math knowledge (Addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages).
- High school diploma, equivalent or higher
Physical Requirements
- Ability to occasionally lift 10-20Ibs.
- Ability to stand and sit for prolong periods.
