JOB STATEMENT: A QA Technician must be familiar with all QA tasks and protocols in order to assure that the product produced and bottled by (and/or for) Bronco Wine Company meets government, customer and Bronco specifications. Must be able to perform the majority of basic QA tasks within 90 days of their hire. It is imperative that QA Technicians can operate the necessary lab equipment and perform primary tasks, work independently or with minimal supervision after initial training completion. Have the ability to maintain a clean, organized work area, write in a clear concise manner and maintain a high level of accuracy in all paperwork. Must be able to work any shift, weekends, holidays and overtime as needed.
Essential Duties:
- Understand and comply with all ISO9001, HACCP and GMP requirements and processes
- Assist in auditing HACCP documents when needed
- Perform all functions as defined in the QA SOP's
- Must be able to navigate the IFS document management system to review SOP's and forms
- Line preparation and start-up, Line inspections to monitor production
- Collection, monitoring and shipping of samples as needed
- Review Case print/pallet tag information approvals for accuracy
- Audit finished goods inventory
- Troubleshoot material, fill weight , line inspection, audit pallet issues
- Stop production line if critical problem is discovered and assist the bottling line personnel in solving the problem
- Perform analysis to approve wine tanks for the bottling line
- Prepare paperwork and perform analysis to unload incoming wine tankers
- Assist isolate/hold defective product/materials
- Sample and perform incoming raw material inspections
- Verify rinser check as needed
- Communicate well with Bottling Leads/Supervisors, Cellar, Maintenance, Shipping and Bottling Personnel
- Attend monthly QA production/safety meeting as scheduled
- Maintain files and prepare blank forms
- Generate Material Investigation reports for valid material issues
- Assist in material testing
- Create and proof read shop order packets as needed
- Train new personnel
- Enter glass information for lot tracking
- Bioluminescence test and visual inspection for sanitation and spout changes as needed
- Ozone/hot water verification
- Dilute High Proof Ethanol
- Perform capacity checks on glass
- Provide coverage at other Northern facilities as needed
- Familiarity and enforcement of safety rules
- Perform any other duties as assigned by QA Management
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Education/Experience:
