Quality Assurance Technician
Schedule: Monday-Friday 3:00 pm-11:30 pm (training hours would be 7:00am-3:30pm)
Salary: Starting at $15.50 per hour

Are your a problem solver? Do you have great attention to detail? Our QA Tech is responsible for conducting quality inspections of in-process production, and final inspection of finished goods prior to release. QA Tech works directly with Production Supervisors to develop and implement quality procedures to support the company’s Quality Management Systems (QMS). This position is accountable for achieving continuous improvement in both internal and external quality and for meeting or exceeding the quality goals and objectives established by the Leadership Team. This position is also responsible for performing other duties as assigned
Essential Functions
  • Validate machine setup and perform first-piece audits and/or physical inspections on finished goods at the onset of each production run.
  • Conduct inline audits of automated and manually assembled materials.
  • Perform finished good inspections on all manufactured items.
  • Document the results of all inspections.
  • Identify and document all non-conforming material discovered through inspection and test processes.
  • Completes internal investigations, conducts internal root cause analysis on returned defective materials, and provides recommendations for correction.
  • Performs NetSuite/computer transactions as required.
  • Validate quality processes by assisting in establishing product specifications, measurement methods, documenting evidence, and determining operational and performance qualifications.
  • Write and update in-process Quality Assurance procedures and in-process test methods.
  • Maintain and improve product quality by completing product quality audits, investigating customer complaints, collaborating with other departments to develop new product and engineering designs, and manufacturing and training methods.
  • Prepare quality documentation and reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends. These can include failed processes, positive recalls, corrective actions, and re-validations.
  • Develop Quality Assurance plans by identifying critical control points, preventive measures, monitoring procedures, corrective actions, and verification procedures.
  • Participate in various meetings such as Sample Production Orders (SPO) and Design Control.

The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Frequent physical tasks include standing, walking, climbing, sitting, stooping, kneeling, pushing, pulling, and lifting 10-50 lbs.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Ability to read and understand design drawings.
  • Ability to use measuring tools such as calipers, tape measures, pin gages, weigh scales, etc.
  • Ability to perform Macola transactions related to job functions.
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft applications such as Access, Word, and Excel.
  • Ability to adhere to all organizational policies and procedures.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Above average organization, communication, and human relations skills.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in Quality Assurance (preferred)
  • Regular and reliable attendance is required. Must have reliable transportation.
