Job Description
The objective of the Quality Assurance Tech is to provide plant wide primary support service for food safety, HAACP compliance, and designated Quality Assurance duties ensuring products produced are within all safety and quality specifications. This is accomplished through auditing, collecting and recording quality data, inspecting and testing of incoming materials, work in process and finished product.
Pay
$18.00 - $24 per hour

Requirements
The Ideal Candidate:
• Is present and on-time for scheduled shift
• Conducts Food Safety (HAACP) audits throughout the plant including but not limited to; brittle plastic, metal detection and isolation, GMP, etc.
• Identify, investigate, document follow up on non-conforming items and generate "HOLD" reports.
• Identifies, records and investigates deviation data for non-conforming product.
• Generates and records "hold" reports
• Gathers and evaluates process data against established specifications. Records data using a tablet and desk top computer.
• Works collaboratively with all departments, ensuring a culture of quality throughout the facility.
• Inspects, tests and records data for incoming materials, ingredients, and finished product, ensuring compliance to standards.
• Calibrates and maintains quality instrumentation and equipment so that test results are accurate and actionable
• Collects product samples and maintains finished goods retention system.
• ALWAYS works safely, follows all safety protocols, ensures the team does the same so all our people go home in the same condition in which they arrived
• Actively and effectively communicates to all stake holders including; production operators, management, maintenance, sanitation, peers, and team members
• Completes all necessary paperwork as required accurately, on time and in a thorough, audit-ready manner.
• Leads the culture of quality by always working in compliance with all GMP, Food Safety and Safety standards
• Conducts themselves in a professional manner, treating all with respect, resulting in an environment conducive to high morale and productivity
• Maintains their work area in neat, clean, and organized fashion ensuring compliance with GLPs and a smooth transition between shifts
Qualities for Success:
• Must exhibit the HIGHEST level of respect for SAFETY ensuring that each shift ends with no workplace accidents
• Must be the CHAMPION of Food Safety, Quality and GMPs and possess the communication ability to make it infectious (in a good way)
• Solid competency with various computer software programs; Microsoft Office, Outlook.
Ability to learn proprietary software systems
• Ability to prioritize tasks effectively so that department goals are met.
• Must work well in a collaborative and multi-cultural, collaborative environment
• Ability to thrive under pressure and within deadlines
• Adaptability/flexibility is imperative as well as the ability to act/react in real time
• Results driven and initiative-taking with ability to own and execute area of responsibility with excellence
• Analytical/Reasoning ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and suggest corrective measures.

Salary Description
