THIS POSITION IS ONSITE IN JACKSON, MISSISSIPPI. (NOT A REMOTE POSITION)
The Quality Assurance Supervisor reports to the Senior Project Manager in the Special Markets Department of the MWG-Corporate Division. This position is an exempt, salaried role, located at 500 Steed Road, Ridgeland MS 39157.
GENERAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Quality Assurance Supervisor conducts testing on software, websites, and other technical products to identify and resolve bugs, defects, and other potential issues with MWG software and operating systems. The Quality Assurance Supervisor will be responsible for the workflow and quality of testing results for a team of Quality Assurance Analysts that will report him/her. The Quality Assurance Supervisor will supervise and direct projects and workflows to meet corporate quality standards.   • Develops, documents, and maintains functional test cases, flow charts, or other visual aids to effectively communicate software and project objectives within the company.
  • Make proactive recommendations and solutions to day-to-day projects to improve the quality and efficiency for the department.
  • Take charge of the implementation of policies and procedures to ensure proper testing meets standards.
  • Take charge of proactively training team members on the Quality Assurance Analyst team on new products, new processes, and new implementations with the assistance of the Senior Project Manager.
  • Develops a methodology of documentation and storage for technical ad user materials on system developments.
  • Evaluates team member morale, performance and efficiency and makes suggestions by mentoring, training, and setting expectations to provide accountability.
  • Identifies any potential quality issues per defined requirements and escalates potential quality issues immediately to management.
  • Assists in creating and maintaining test plans and cases to ensure flawless processing.
  • Aids in comprehensively laying out project objectives and completion descriptors within a given test project.
  • Creates methods to find new bugs, defects, as well as suggests process improvements.
  • Thinks abstractly and strays from the expected processes path to improve processes.
  • Serves as a liaison between development, project management, and customer support.
  • Ensures that validated deliverables meet functional and design specifications and requirements based on specific request indicated on testing tickets.
  • Assists in creating how-to documentation for new and existing processes.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Senior Project Manager and Vice President of Software Development as needed.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
  • College Degree Required, or 5+ years of corporate business knowledge preferred.
  • Previous experience of Quality Assurance experience required.
  • Must have experience with various communication platforms as this role requires utilizing multiple platforms for delivering information effectively such as GoToMeeting, Recordings, Microsoft Teams, One Note Notation, How-To Guides, etc.

  • Must be a highly team-oriented person, who is self-motivated and willing to assist team members to ensure the Software Development department as a whole deliver quality work.

JOB ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have basic typing skills.
  • Must be able to work as scheduled.

  • Must be able to bend, stretch, reach, and sit or stand at a desk during 85 % of the working day.
  • Must be able to lift, stoop, and carry small equipment items and supplies weighing up to 20lbs.
