POSITION SUMMARY
The Production and Quality Assurance Specialist position focuses on the Quality Assurance processes and continuous improvement methodologies. The position involves the day-to-day operations of the Quality team which includes the quality inspection of parts, scanning new parts to meet customer specifications.

Essential Functions Statements

    • Knowledge and hands-on operation of Quality Assurance equipment and methodology.
    • Knowledge and hands-on operation of metal fabrication machinery, especially metal forming with hydraulic presses and welding equipment.
    • Inspect parts to assure they meet quality standard and expectations of the customer.
    • Partner with Project Management team to ensure reliable and timely executed APQP and PPAP process.
    • Ensure PPAP capability that meets or exceed all industry and customer requirements.
    • Ensure timely submission of PPAPs to customers.
    • Conduct quality measurements and complete customer documentation prior to series production and delivery to customers.
    • Ensure that quality capabilities meet or exceed all industry and customer requirements.
    • Abide by ISO and ISO/IATF quality standards at all times.
    • Collaborate with customers providing assistance and responding to inquiries.
    • Work a regular schedule determined by supervisory management
    • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisory personnel.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education:

      • High School Degree or equivalent and/or related experience required.
      • Associates Degree from an accredited Quality Assurance program preferred.


Experience:

      • A minimum of 1-2 years' experience in a Quality Assurance position.
      • Ability to use Direct read measuring devices required.
      • A minimum of 2 years' experience in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing skills preferred.
      • Ability to coordinate 3 Dimensional Coordinate Measuring and 2 Dimensional CAD experience preferred.
      • Previous experience in manufacturing; metal fabrication.
      • Ability to read blue prints and understand functionality of parts and their components.
      • Ability to operate a forklift and obtain certification.
      • Ability to work in a team environment and/or independently.
      • Ability to train inexperienced co-workers.

Computer Skills:

    • Experience using MS Office Suite, 3D Modeling CAD software
