Quality Assurance Program Manager

Summary

Oversees compliance of clinical documentation to meet accreditation, certification, and funding source requirements. Oversees the Quality Assurance Program. Oversees program staff. Monitors the clinical compliance efforts of the agency, guides, and provides suggestions on Quality Assurance related matters. Works with various departments including IT, Program Directors and the Red Rock Management Team to ensure collaboration and implementation. Assures high quality chart reviews, dissemination of information to staff and needed training for staff.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Follows guidelines and ensures compliance of clinical records for Title XIX/Medicaid (TXIX), Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (ODMHSAS), national accreditation, and other funding sources or regulatory agencies
• Trains QAP program clinicians on chart documentation requirements, chart audits and reports, and service plan reviews
• Maintains communication with all QAP clinicians
• Assists in development of chart audit tools that result in determination of clinical compliance with certifying, accrediting, and funding bodies
• Maintains core competencies in relation to working with co-occurring disorders through continuing education and implementing skills into all aspects of treatment
• Assists implementing resolutions when data identifies issues
• Monitors and ensures clinical records meet criteria for outside audits
• Ensures appropriate productivity is met by clinicians
• Conducts routine
• Assists in developing, assessing, and maintaining program and agency outcomes
• Assists in completing monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and annual reports as required by funding, certifying, and accrediting bodies
• Travels to all Red Rock BHS sites to ensure agency wide compliance
• Ensures accurate and timely completion of Plans of Corrections from ODMHSAS and other similar functions
• Functions as a member of all relevant agency committees
• Maintains knowledge of current compliance requirements and standards
• Attends staff meetings, workshops, and seminars to learn Agency policies, rules, regulations, and procedures; participates in ongoing in-service training as well as pertinent external training
• Supports and assists with the facilitation of Care Plans for consumers within the Red Rock Health Team
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Relevant Master’s Degree with licensure
• Two years experience in quality management, compliance auditing, or clinical review, 5 years preferred
• Two years supervisory experience, five years preferred
• Excellent communication and research skills
• Commitment to the mission of Red Rock BHS
• Previous experience with Request for Proposal (RFP)/Grant proposals preferred
