Position Status: Full-time Salary Exempt. 40-45 hours average weekly. May need to work additional hours and/or days during critical business periods.
Position Summary: Bequet Confections seeks an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to oversee the Quality Assurance department, ensuring processes and products meet all company, customer, local, state, and federal food safety, and quality requirements.
Key Responsibilities include (but not limited to):
- Develop, implement, and manage processes to ensure that products meet required specifications for food safety, quality, function, and reliability prior to delivery.
- Identifies and sets appropriate quality standards and parameters for products.
- Communicates quality standards and parameters to all team members.
- Manages internal instrument testing and calibration.
- Coordinates product testing, such as shelf life and microbiological testing as required.
- Identifies and analyzes issues, defects, and other problems, particularly when patterns recur; recommends and facilitates solutions to these issues.
- Reviews customer and user feedback.
- Maintains compliance with company, customer, federal, state, and local laws, regulations, guidelines, and policies.

Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degrees in business, engineering, or field related to the products, or equivalent work experience.
- Three to five years' experience in a related field required with supervisory experience a plus.
- PCQI (Preventative Controls Qualified Individual) certification a plus.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 30 pounds.
