Description:

The Quality Assurance Lead will be responsible for leading quality staff, ensuring timely and effective implementation of all company's policies, procedures, and maintaining a system of quality and reliability testing for the products and development processes.


Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Development, maintenance and continuous improvement of DLI process documentation, work instructions, process flow, control plans, and other documentation and audit plans.
  • Complete time studies and improvement studies as required.
  • Support of quality process.
  • Conduct internal audits as directed.
  • Develop detailed responses to customer concerns / corrective actions in a timely manner using.
  • Navigate and assist with regular quality documentation and root cause analysis.
  • Assist with cost tracking for internal, external and cost of quality supplier issues and reported out monthly.
  • Lead current Quality Assurance staff.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent. May include specialized classes beyond high school.
  • 1-3 years experience as a quality lead or specialist in a manufacturing, printing, or production environment.
  • Experience leading hourly teams preferred.
  • Above average work experience using a computer including data entry and Microsoft office programs including Word and Excel.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to read and effectively use measuring devices.

Physical Requirements & Environmental Conditions

  • Frequent exposure to manufacturing environment with one or more unpleasant or hazardous conditions including but not limited to exposure to dust, dirt, high noise levels, chemicals, etc. 51% to 80% of work time.
  • Incumbent constantly required hearing, speaking, articulating and using manual dexterity.
  • Incumbent regularly required to stand, walk, use color vision, grasp, reach and sit for prolonged periods of time.
  • Incumbent occasionally required to lift up to 50 lbs.
