Inspect product, processes and documentation to engineering specifications, internal procedures/ instructions and inspection plans this includes: auditing processes and/or operations to appropriate instructions, measure parts and assemblies, acquire test samples as necessary and documenting results of the activities performed and maintain necessary records. This position will also assist in containment of suspect material, disposal of materials, and communication of issues to various levels of the organization. Typical areas to support are the production lines and the shipping and receiving departments, as well as general department duties.
Participate in safety, production, quality, and other meetings as required. Maintain constant housekeeping practices consistent with 5S principles.
TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT:
Use of various gages, measuring equipment (tape measure, calipers, optical comparator), color standards, computer skills(like MS Office, email and taking pictures), basic math skills and various hand tools as necessary. Basic knowledge of ISO-9000 procedures and instructions.
