Job Description
Responsibilities:
- The client supports and maintains over 250 applications.
- Applications are developed using techniques such as SCRUM and Agile, modified Waterfall programming, Microsoft, and other toolsets to deliver just-in-time solutions.
- The QA Analyst must be capable of sustaining rapid change of processes and tools over an indeterminate period.
- Self-directed relevant technical development is a hallmark of the successful candidate for this position.
- Change is not only inevitable but expected daily on this product/project.
- The QA Analyst is also responsible for developing strategies for continuous process improvement in testing-related activities.
- The QA Analyst will report administratively to the Business Analyst Lead.
- 4 Year College Degree.
- Education Substitute 5 Years of business consulting experience.
- Education Substitute Experience for Degree.
- Major in Mathematics, Library or Computer Sciences, Communications, or a related field.
- Government or public sector experience.
- Software Functional/Technical consulting experience.
- Project management experience.
- Service lifecycle and process implementation consulting/training experience.
- Provides ongoing coaching/support to ensure project team members follow project delivery/testing practices.
- Works with project teams to tailor the Standard Testing Processes / Practices.
- Oversees and participates in test execution.
- Plans verification & validation (V &V) activities.
- Addresses non-compliance items.
- Advanced computer skills.
- Experience working with "elected" officials is a plus.
- Direct, recent experience with business process re-engineering/assessment, consulting services, training delivery, product testing, and project delivery.
- Strong familiarity with project delivery methodology and accompanying tools.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including instructional, facilitation, and presentation skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with a focus on coaching/motivational skills, enthusiasm, and positive attitude.
- Advanced problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
- Highly self-motivated and directed.
- Ability to absorb new ideas and concepts quickly.
- Ability to present ideas in a business-friendly and user-friendly manner.
- Customer-centric focus in task completion.
- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- An advanced understanding of court processes is a plus.
- Sitting for extended periods.
- Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, and mouse, and to handle other computer components.
- Lifting and transporting moderately heavy objects, such as computers and peripherals.
