Calculates and recommends batch adjustments to Production* Responsible for performing routine maintenance and up-keep on assigned laboratory equipment and work areas.* Will be assigned responsibility for calibration and associated record keeping of analytical equipment or other special projects as determined by the QA Supervisor.* Reports promptly all problems regarding procedures, equipment, products, raw materials, specifications, etc., to the quality Supervisor or designate, as well as other quality Chemists* Maintenance inventory status of reagents, equipment, etc.

in order to keep the lab at full operational capacity* Prepares lab standard test reagents test reagents, and performs standardization on reagents and calibration of equipment on a regular basis.* Keeps detailed records and maintains control and/or trend charts* Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly work environment and assures smooth operation of the QA Laboratory by communication, planning and preparation in support of other shifts.Position Details:* Plant location: Garyville, LA* Work week and shift:* Rotating 12 hour shift: 48 hours/36 hours* Monday - Tuesday - Friday - Saturday - Sunday - Wednesday - Thursday* Days (M, Tu) / Nights (F, Sat, Sun) / Days (W, Th)* Compensation package offered: $30 / hrMinimum Qualifications:* Required to have a working knowledge of laboratory instrumentation and basic "wet lab" techniques.* Creativity, verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem solving ability.* Team player and detail oriented.* Knowledge of the chemical composition, structure and properties of substances and of the chemical processes and transformations that they undergo.* Knowledge of the aspects of chemicals manufacturing and how the process affects the environment, and safety of workers and consumers.Education/Experience:* Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, or a related field and 2+ years experience requiredPhysical Demands:Required PPE and Physical Demands:* Safety Glasses (provided: non prescription), Hard Hat (provided), Long Sleeve Shirt, Long Trousers, Steel Toe Shoes* Able to lift and carry 30 pounds* Have the ability to bend, squat down, and reach above your headBenefitsEcolab strives to provide comprehensive and market-competitive benefits to meet the needs of our associates and their families.
