- Reviews Start of Care OASIS completed by all cliniciansincluding results of McBee reviews. Educates clinicians as necessary basedupon outcomes of reviews.
- Troubleshoots CMS rejections, working with clinicians,and re-submits to CMS.
- Reviews Plan of Cares for accuracy and completeness.Educates clinicians as necessary based upon outcomes of reviews.
- Reviews Recertifications, Resumptions of Care, Discharge and Transfer OASIS. Educates clinicians as necessary based uponoutcomes of reviews.
- Reviews care plans for accuracy and completeness.Educates clinicians as necessary based upon outcomes of reviews.
- Tracks and trends review results by individualforwarding to Clinical Manager and Director of Operations.
- Conferences/ educates clinicians re: trended deficiencies. Participates in ongoing staff education along with staffdevelopment coordinator.
- Functions as a resource person to all cliniciansregarding documentation requirements.
- Assists in ongoing education and support of clinicalstaff in the accurate completion of the OASIS and supportive documentationat all time points.
- Serves as a resource for clinicians and clerical stafffor troubleshooting documentation related problems such as date errors,order conflicts, and OASIS errors.
- Completes hospitalization and death at home auditsutilizing internal tool designated for same. Tracks and trends results which are presented to management staff and QAPI Committee.
- Participates in QAPI Quarterly Meetings, providing feedback on outcomes and suggestions for improvements.
- Participates in new employee orientation.
- Facilitates and participates in care managementmeetings for clinical staff.
- Assists Director of QAPI and Education in job relatedactivities as needed.
- Administers PPDs and Influenza vaccinations toemployees and volunteers, as needed. Administers Influenza vaccinations toany walk-in public.
- Keeps current with "Best Practices" regarding diseaseprocesses and documentation practices through readings and attendance atin-services.
- Is knowledgeable regarding agency policies andprocedures, and accreditation body's, State and Federal regulations.
- Adheres to all applicable federal, state, local lawsand regulations.
- Other duties as assigned.
