The Quality Lab Lead role will have ownership of the performance of the Micro and Analytical Lab for the factory. They are required to lead autonomously, motivate and develop their team. This role is the business facing lead for the area, ensuring partnership across End-to-End Supply Chain operations.
Location of the job: Jefferson City, MO
Base Pay: $33.56, with an additional $1.50 shift differential for the 3rd shift assignments, paid weekly
Shift: 3rd shift, 11pm- 7:30 am

What You'll Do
- Safety
- 100% completion of risk assessments and Safety Behavior Observations.
- World class execution of 5S and Good Manufacturing Practices within their area.
- Quality
- Utilizes SAP QM (all transactions needed for QA purposes; ex. traceability cockpit, QA32, COOIS, MB51, etc.).
- Support verification of use of all systems used by Quality for any quality purposes.
- Leads lab equipment validations and calibrations.
- Development, validation, and implementation of Cleaning and Disinfection programs.
- Supports preparation of local procedure and work instructions that ensure Unilever and other applicable standards are accurately represented in local procedures and work instructions.
- Owner of SOP and work instruction for all areas of the lab. Must ensure SOPs are reviewed regularly and updated as needed.
- Supports effort to complete and maintain internal and external audits and certifications.
- Owner of training records for department.
- Drives quality focused improvement activities, reducing quality losses.
- Utilizes advanced knowledge of category and technology details and requirements to support site innovation and changes.
- Supports the implementation and maintenances of system where key quality data and information are restored and preserved.
- Ensure all supplies are ordered in a timely manner.
- All other duties as assigned.
- Productivity
- Glidepath with area plan as well as overall factory plan.
- Build strategic plan to execution targets for their department and program.
- Participation in daily planning meeting to ensure alignment to area strategy.
- Cost/Labor
- Manage area labor to budget.
- Perform costing analysis for area.
- Manage shift coverage to support the business needs.
What You'll Need to Succeed
- College Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Minimum 3 years related work experience, preferably in a quality environment.
- Ability to develop leaders. Ability to gain buy-in and motivate their area team as well as cross-functional team members.
- Strong sense of self-accountability and thrives in an autonomous environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
