Job Summary:
The QMA is responsible for administering prescribed medications & maintaining related medical records.
Description:
Under the supervision of the Charge Nurse and/or the DON, the QMA prepares & administers prescribed medications in accordance with State and Federal regulations and Facility policies & procedures. This position helps to assure that the medication needs of Residents are met in an appropriate and safe manner.
Qualifications:
- Completion of a state-approved Certified Nurse Assistance Program with successful completion of Qualified Medication Aide designation requirements; certification must be in good standing in the state where work will be performed;
- Satisfactory OIG exclusions and background check;
- Satisfactory personal & professional references;
- Current CPR certification or ability to obtain certification within 90 days of date of hire.

- Satisfactory OIG exclusions and background check
- Successfully complete a drug screening
- Must have received, or be willing to receive, the COVID-19 vaccination by date of hire. Proof of vaccination or exemption is required
