The Residential Qualified Intellectual Disability (QIDP) in Training is responsible for the day-to-day operation of a 6-bed (ICF/DD-H) group home for developmentally disabled adults. This is a direct care position responsible for the care and supervision of program clients and includes administrative functions specific to the operation of the house and assisting in the training of program staff. Duties include Active Treatment, Behavior Modification, BEST, CPR, and 1st aid in accordance with the individual education and program plans.

The Residential QIDP in Training, under the supervision of the Director of Residential Services, will provide support to QIDP’s with intent to learn QIDP duties and move into the QIDP position upon request.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BA/BS in related field and 6 months related work experience.
  • Solid communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Consistent work history with excellent references.
  • Ability to organize, multitask, prioritize, and work under pressure.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.

Range: $20.00-23.00/ hour until completion of training. Upon promotion to QIDP- $66,500.00 annually.

Schedule: Full time Monday - Friday Split Shift 6:300am- 8:30 am 3:30 pm - 9:00 pm while in training. Upon completion of training and promotion to QIDP position M-F with one-weekend per month on-call.

Requirements:

  • BA/BS in related field and 6 months related work experience.
  • Criminal background check required.
  • Acceptable Driving History.
  • Must have personal mode of transportation.
  • Locations: Carlsbad, Oceanside, Vista, Fallbrook, and San Marcos.
