BWXT’s Nuclear Operations Group - Lynchburg is currently seeking a QE Statistics Support for its Lynchburg, VA location!

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

• Serves as lead for Statistical release and certification functions for a specific product line.
• Generates submittals related to certification statistics.
• Performs weekly updates on status of component section lots for all product lines.
• Maintains databook from destructive evaluated component data.
• Maintains submittal listings for specific product lines for statistics submittals.
• Generates Quality Control Deficiencies Reports (QCDs) for component deviations identified by Statistics.
• Performs IBM and Solumina updates for product attributes.
• Performs back-up duties for other product lines.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• A minimum of an Associate’s degree in a related field plus two (2) years of experience OR a high school diploma or equivalent plus six (6) years of relevant experience is required.
• Must be able to demonstrate superior written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills in order to ensure comprehension of statistics analysis by both internal and external groups. This could include engineers, Met Lab, Chemistry Lab, NMC, and the Customer.
• Must be highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail and organization.
• Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is required. Must also be able to work independently.
• Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a rapidly changing environment.
• Must be a US Citizen with no dual citizenship.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) clearance.

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Previous experience with SAS or other programming languages.
• Previous experience with generating/writing and reviewing submittals and QCD's in docQnet is desired.
• Previous experience with understanding and interpreting technical requirements is desired.
• A working knowledge of computer systems and applications such as SAP, Solumina, Microsoft Office products, docQnet, EtQ, and IBM is desired.

The base salary range for this position in Virginia (US-VA) at the start of employment is expected to be between $53,000 and $86,000 per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors, and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided at such time the selected job candidate receives an offer of employment. If hired, the selected job candidate will be employed 'at-will,’ unless employed at a location and in a position subject to a collective bargaining agreement.  The company further reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment, compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department/team performance, and other market factors.
