JOB SUMMARY
The QC is responsible for inspecting quality throughout the mold production process.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Comply with company Safety Policies and Procedures
• Examines thickness of latex and quality of brushing and dabbing
• Examines quality of master, checks for cracks
• Tracks number of molds completed and damaged on a daily basis
• Ensures the proper amount of paste is added or removed
• Sends daily communication to supervisors
• Answers questions from other employees
• Performs other related duties as assigned by department and plant management
• Regular attendance, timeliness and scheduling flexibility
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
• Excellent Safety and Attendance Record
• Previous experience as a mold specialist
• Knowledge of the mold application process
• Understand how to mix paste to make any necessary mold adjustments
• Ability to work independently with little to no supervision
• Bilingual (preferred)
• Flexible- must be able to work any shift, overtime and weekends
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
The employee should have the following:
• No minimum education requirement
• No prior experience or training required
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT
The employee should possess the ability to:
• Prolong standing or in stationary position
• Complete repetitive movements such as typing
• Be exposed to sounds or noise levels that maybe uncomfortable
• Complete repetitive movements
• Wear all required personal protective equipment (hearing, vision and hardhat protection)
• Lift/move/transport items up to 50 pounds
• Ability to move or traverse about the facilities
• Must be able to ascend/descend stairs or ladders
• Ability to work around dust, chemicals, and other substances, and in various environmental conditions
