Title:  QC Lab Technician

Location:  Romeoville, IL

Hire Type:  Contract-to-Hire

Work Hours:  Positions on 1st Shift (6am-3pm) & 2nd Shift (2pm-11pm) are available, Tuesday thru Saturday

Job Summary: 

The Quality Control Technician will performs day-to-day quality control tasks including periodic inspections of the filling and assembly lines, collecting, testing, and storing samples, issuance of batch records and test records, and communication of quality data. The position requires the safe use of basic, to advanced, quality tools and instruments in a laboratory setting.

Job Duties:

• Inspects and tests raw materials and products for physical and chemical properties at various stages of production processes. Inspect production lines and materials according to quality criteria.
• Compiles and evaluates data generated to determine quality status of raw materials, in-process, finished goods.
• Communicates test results, observations and critical findings to immediate supervisor and other applicable team members.
• Issues production batch records and labels daily. Works with production to verify equipment cleanliness.
• Supports sampling and preparation of product stability and microbial testing.
• Keeps equipment and laboratory clean, follows assigned safety guidelines.
• Follows cGMP (per provided training). Record and files paperwork and samples according to cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practices) requirements.
• Must be able to occasionally work extra hours to support production needs.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of High School Diploma. Associate’s Degree in Science is preferred.
• 1-3 years of experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Control within a pharmaceutical, food, or cosmetics manufacturing and/or lab environment.
• Excellent communication and computer skills.
