Job Description
Calibration tasks:
• Maintain the calibration lab, calibration database on all test equipment.
• Conduct internal calibrations and schedule external calibrations, including the collection of gages and equipment.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair inspection equipment when necessary.
• Manage and maintain the documentation of all calibrations and investigations for instruments that failed calibration.
• Must have the ability to work independently, analyze and interpret data and other information in order to complete calibration procedures.
• The ideal candidate must possess a trained eye for detail, be reliable, and committed to this position.
• Ensure that inspection equipment and gauges at each workstation are correct and properly calibrated in addition to Quality inspector tasks listed below
Inspection tasks
• Read blue print symbols, understand AQL levels, specifications and measurement procedures
• Perform inspection of parts using Micrometers, indicators, gauge blocks, optical comparator, rulers, calipers and computerized measuring machines (similar to a CMM).
• Perform some visual inspections with microscope.
• Complete reports and enter data and documentation on completed in-process and final inspections using Excel and Word
• Accept or reject product based on inspection results.
Excellent written and verbal skills to report inspection and test data.
• Good computer skills and 2 - 3 years inspection experience
