Qc Floor Inspector

Overview

North Side manufacturing firm needs full-time Floor Inspector.Applicants must have 3 years minimum experience with measuring instruments including micrometers, dial calipers, drop indicators, optical comparators, and a working knowledge of SPC.

Day shift of 40+ hours, some Saturdays.Attractive benefit package includes competitive wage, insurance, paid holidays, bonus, and profit sharing.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough inspections of products on the production floor to ensure they meet quality standards
• Utilize calipers, micrometers, and measurement gauges to accurately measure dimensions and tolerances
• Identify and document any defects or deviations from specifications
• Collaborate with production team to address and resolve quality issues
• Maintain detailed records of inspections and findings
• Conduct routine audits to verify compliance with quality control procedures
• Assist in the development and improvement of quality control processes
• Communicate inspection results and provide feedback to relevant teams
• Adhere to safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work area

Qualifications

• 3 years experience in quality inspection is required
• Proficiency in using calipers, micrometers, and measurement gauges
• Strong understanding of measurement techniques and tolerances
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• High level of integrity and commitment to quality
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work schedules
