QA/QC Manager

Pay: Depends on Experience + per diem for applicable candidates

The QA/QC Manager is the Project Director's Quality Assurance representative on site. He/She reports operationally to the Construction Manager. He/She is responsible for monitoring all construction activities in accordance with the project requirements, engineering specifications, codes, and government regulations. 
Responsibilities include:

• Coordination of the quality activities of Contractors and Subcontracted inspectors.
• Audits quality inspection activities and records of both the inspectors and supervision on site.
• Develops and maintains the QA/QC filing and record system on site.
• Participates in the  resolution of inspection problems concerning vendors, engineering, government regulatory agencies and Contractors QA representatives.
• Provides continued surveillance of all craft discipline activities to assure workmanship is in compliance with the applicable standards.
• Initiates action to prevent, stop and correct the occurrence of quality control deficiencies and defective workmanship.
• Manager coordinates, certifies, and interprets the results of X-ray film, NDE tests, welder qualifications, soil, and concrete test results.
• Set up and manage the Quality department.
• Recruit and staff the Quality Organization.
• Manage direct reports in Quality Department.
• Participate in all required meetings and updates.
• Prepares and submit all required Quality reports.
• Prepare final turnover procedures between Contractors and Client.
• Reviews, comments and approves all Quality plans and ITP processes and procedures.
• Responsible for the Quality of all document & records. 
• Responsible for the project meeting and all regulatory requirements.
• Issues and resolves all contractor and subcontractor non-conformance. 
• Develop and draft company specific Quality Control Plans.
• Review and Approve Subcontractor and Vendor Qualification. 
• Verify compliance of Material Verification. 
• Responsible for Project system turn over & punch.

Qualifications;

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineer, Inspection or related field.
• 15+ years in an Industrial/Construction industry for downstream environments
• 5+ years in Quality Leadership on major project $250M +
• Strong computer skills in MS Office products and Inspection/Quality Database programs, ideal candidate will be familiar with using Procore
