QA Test Automation Engineer, $70,000 - $100,000 yearly

Full-Time, Monday - Friday, Remote

Earn 2 weeks of vacation after 90 days of employment

.R+L Carriers' Information Technology Department is growing and has immediate openings for experienced QA Test Automation Engineers who will work within the Information Technology Department developing automation test scripts for world-class enterprise software applications in support of R+L's leadership in the transportation & logistics industry. The candidates will be key members of an interdisciplinary team supporting the company's enterprise software development initiatives working with business stakeholders to understand real world business requirements and to design and develop related enterprise level solutions.  The ideal candidate will have extensive experience designing automated solutions to perform web app, API, and back end validation. The successful candidate must be proficient in programming languages and have great attention to detail.  Candidates must also be committed to developing their skills in order to provide effective solutions.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Create and develop automated test suites for Enterprise level applications 
  • Groom existing test cases for selection into automated Smoke/Regression suites.
  • Determine the most efficient automation testing approach based on potential risks and ensure appropriate testing coverage with minimal test cases
  • Develop automated test scripts for web interface and SOAP/REST web services
  • Perform applications and integration testing involving TIBCO, .Net applications, web services, and Oracle databases
  • Troubleshoot existing failed automation runs to isolate cause of failure
  • Collaborate with QA Analysts and Software Developers to develop automation solutions to help in development and functional testing
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of test data
  • Review specifications and work with business and technical team to determine requirements testable through automation
  • Participate in software design reviews to provide input and identify potential automation concerns 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
  • 3+ years previous experience as a Test Automation Engineer
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C# and Java
  • Knowledge of Selenium, SoapUI, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
  • Working experience with Katalon or PowerShell Scripting a plus
  • Working experience with developing automation test plans and scripts
  • Knowledgeable of Test Automation frameworks and methodologies
  • Working experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery environment is a plus
  • Working experience with performance tuning and stress testing is a plus
  • Solid knowledge of JSON data format
  • Solid knowledge of Web services and REST protocol
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to details
  • Good time management and organizational skills
