We are looking for:
A Laboratory Analytical Technician for our Orange,Texas facility that will test and inspect products at various stages of the production process; compile and evaluate statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products; champion continuous improvement in the day-to-day functions and operation of the QC laboratory


We count on you for:  

  • Conduct routine analyses at specified stages in production process including raw material, in process and finished product materials with demonstrated accuracy. Analytical techniques include GC, DSC, MFR, colorimetry, mechanical performance and other analyses.
  • Collect, prepare, and analyze calibration standards, effluent plant process samples and environmental products following approved analytical procedures.
  • Evaluate data to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards.
  • Recommend modifications of existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality within limits of equipment capability.
  • Assist with root cause investigations of product issues through sample analysis for special and project samples, as needed.
  • Perform QA/QC checks, record test data and prepare graphs or charts of data applying statistical quality control procedures.
  • Input analytical results into LIMS data management systems.
  • Ensure Calibration, maintenance, repair, of analytical lab instrumentation.
  • Write and revise procedures to increase efficiency and safety.
  • Update and maintain required records in compliance with company policies and procedures as well as for auditing purposes.
  • Maintain adequate inventories of chemicals, product retains, laboratory materials, and other operating supplies.
  • Comply to HSE and Job Specific Training requirements

You will bring:

  • Bachelors Degree (B.S.) in chemistry or a related field with working knowledge of analytical procedures preferred; five or more years' actual experience in chemistry or an analytical laboratory may substitute for the college degree.
  • Technically sound with good decision making ability
  • Good oral and written communication.
  • Good computer skills - Microsoft Office, LIMS, SAP.
  • Capable of maintaining autonomy to efficiently manage multiple tasks and prioritize daily work functions. 
  • Ability to build and maintain productive working relationships with team members and with personnel in other departments.

  • The U.S. base salary range reasonably expected to be paid for this position starting pay is 37.00 an hour. Since actual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted base salary range. Total compensation for this role also includes bonus and/or other incentives.
