JOB TITLE:Technician II, Quality Assurance

REPORTS TO: Manager, Quality LOCATION: Oklahoma City

The Quality Technician II is responsible for auditing manufacturing processes and procedures, as well as conduct scheduled and/or random product inspections and testing to ensure that quality standards are being met. This requires that all audits, product inspections and testing are documented for records traceability. The Quality Technician II shall ensure that nonconforming products are appropriately identified, contained, and removed from the production flow until such product can be dispositioned.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Monitor production processing via scheduled and random QA audits.
  • Conduct quality inspections using proper equipment and standardized practices.
  • Conduct statistical analysis on select processes and report findings.
  • Assist team members with root cause analyses and document corrective actions for all product deviations that fall under a minor defect category, which do not violate form, fit, or function.
  • Document and communicate with the Materials Team, Operations Team, and Management Team any rejection or QAHOLDs that occurs as a result of an in-process and/or incoming product that fails to meet Quality Specifications
  • Report all rejections to Quality Assurance Manager and QA Lead as required.
  • Assist with issuing Quality Bulletins with signoffs when applicable as soon as quality incidents occur.
  • Document and Report all rejections to the management team.
  • Remain current on quality initiative programs and equipment.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of quality inspection results.
  • Ensure incoming materials comply with established specifications.
  • Ensure outgoing products comply with required specifications.
  • Ensure production personnel are following proper procedure for ongoing production checks.
  • Assist with training and instruction for production operators who are required to conduct QA inspection.
  • Development and maintenance of quality procedures and work instructions
  • Performs internal process and facility audits to comply with CFS and NSF Standards
  • Provide management with detailed quality reports as required - daily, weekly, monthly, etc.
  • Perform the appropriate level of dimensional evaluation (PPAP) on all components or final assemblies that are produced by new or modified tooling/molds.
  • Attend daily Huddle Board meetings with the Operations Team.
  • Make a minimum of 5 safety observations weekly.
  • Other duties as required by quality management.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • Requires 1 to 2 years as an inspector, supplier source auditor, or new product test technician in Quality Assurance/Control Department.
  • A.A.S. degree in a quality-related discipline is preferred. The appropriate combination of education and work experience will be considered.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS AND/OR QUALIFICATIONS:

Must possess intermediate level computer skills in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel & Outlook)

Ability to effectively read and interpret documents such as blueprints, designs, method and procedure manuals, production standards, safety and environmental rules and regulations, technical procedures, operating and maintenance instructions.

  • Must have the ability to effectively write reports, methods, and procedure documentation as well as the ability to effectively document written test data using spreadsheets.
  • Must possess mathematical aptitude and the ability to work with mathematical concepts such as statistical process control and statistical inference, applying fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • The candidate for this position must be able to work independently, is proactive and organized in their daily responsibilities, is team-oriented, and works productively and collaboratively across multiple departments and functions.
  • Must exhibit strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to use and interpret adjustable measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and scales.
  • Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively present and communicate written test results.
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs. regularly, 50 lbs. occasionally.
  • Must be able to consistently sit, stand, bend, lift, reach, and walk on a concrete floor for long periods of time.
  • CMM, Smart scope Vision system experience is highly preferred
  • Valid Driver's License is required.

10-15% Travel Requirement
