Essential Functions:
- Conduct a range of tests (particle size, pellet durability, mycotoxin, and NIR) on feed and ingredient samples submitted to the lab
- Maintain accurate and error free data entry as the information generated directly influences real time nutrition decisions
- Assist full-time lab staff in conducting feed and ingredient analysis, ensuring a seamless workflow and timely data analysis and entry
- Maintain a clean and organized lab that meets or exceeds JBS Live Pork’s standards.
Required
- Must be able to read/write English and authorized to work in the U.S.
- High School Diploma or equivalent and authorized to work in the U.S.
- Basic knowledge of math
- Knowledge of MS Office products including MS Excel
- Ability to follow written procedures and established testing methods
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Prior experience in production related work
- Advanced knowledge of MS Excel
- 2 or 4 year College degree in Agriculture, the Sciences, or related fields
- The employee must occasionally lift and/move up to 50 lbs
- The employee may be exposed to dusty conditions
- The employee is regularly exposed to high noise environments
