Description Overview
Perrigo Nutritionals, located in Georgia, VT is seeking a QA Specialist that is passionate about their job to support the food safety and quality standards our company upholds. This individual should enjoy working with others and have sound people skills. This is a 1st shift position working Sunday - Thursday, 9:00 am - 5:30pm.
Scope of the Role

• Sampling and inspecting incoming raw materials and packaging components
• Reviewing and completing documentation associated with incoming raw materials and packaging components
• Inspecting components according to established specifications and procedures
• Proofing of printed components
• Use of SAP quality assurance, inventory and warehouse information screens
• Use of SAP BOBI reports
• Ability to follow SOP's and work instructions
• Ability to manage and communicate via e-mail correspondence
• Ability to create and manage Microsoft Excel spreadsheets
• Stickering of raw materials, packaging components or finished stock batch disposition
• Performing routine maintenance and calibration of sampling equipment
• Assist with duties associated with QA release service clerk position
• Provide coverage at multiple warehouses
• Maintain retains area, pull retains for other departments

Work is performed in office, warehouse, plant, and laboratory environments.
Overtime as needed.
Experience Required
Education and experience: high school diploma or equivalent
Skills:

• One year of experience in food related industry recommended
• Written and oral communications
• Interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize
• Operation of PC and other related equipment acuity of near vision must meet, or be corrected to meet, the requirements of position
• Lifting weights up to 35 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally
• Must be able to lift repetitively
• Climbing and stickering material located at heights
• Accurate and organized record keeping
• Observation and application of safety practices and procedures
• Knowledge of basic scientific principles and standard laboratory equipment is also required
