Job Description

• Oversees the company software development processes of multiple projects and identify risks in the certification plans.
• Ensures production of all certification outputs.
• Approves or identify deficiencies in the production of the artifacts required in DO-178B/C standards.
• Assists in the development of test procedures, instrumentation, and configuration definition to perform the test within the constraints of the test plan.
• Designs small pieces of software, scripts, and tests.
• Uses analytical tools to verify the software code or models.
• Manages risks/opportunities and the resolution of issues associated with certification.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a related engineering subject with proven experience in software development.
• 3+ years working in software development for aerospace, automotive, or railway industries.
• Experience writing software standards and processes

Preferred Qualifications

• Broad knowledge of Systems Engineering development processes and practices; including requirements management and configuration management throughout the product lifecycle and how they relate to certification processes
• Demonstrable experience in ensuring certification outputs conform to company and regulatory policy.
• Background in electronics / avionics development.
