Job Description
Acara Solutions is looking for a QA Lab Technician for our client located in the Portsmouth, NH area.
Lab technician will support laboratory-based scientific investigations by carrying out routine technical tasks and experiments. The technician will work with laboratory equipment to analyze samples or substances, conduct tests on those samples or substances, and report on their findings.
Technician will help support other areas within Quality Department.
Responsible for reviewing products and materials during manufacturing to make sure they meet company requirements. Measuring objects compared to their intended physical specifications, running quality tests and identifying defects.
About the Opportunity:
As the QA Lab technician, you will support laboratory-based scientific investigations by carrying out routine technical tasks and experiments. You will work with laboratory equipment to analyze samples or substances, conduct tests on those samples or substances, and report on their findings. You will be responsible for reviewing products and materials during manufacturing to make sure they meet company requirements and also measure objects compared to their intended physical specifications, running quality tests and identifying defects.
What you will be doing:
- Conduct experiments under defined conditions to verify/reject various types of hypotheses using refined scientific methods.
- Organize, store and discard chemicals substances and fluids according to safety instructions.
- Record data and results in specified forms (paper and electronic) with accuracy and responsibility.
- Maintain equipment and assist in keeping the inventory of materials used.
- Ensure that all safety guidelines are followed strictly at all times and maintain a clean and orderly environment.
Required Skills / Qualifications:
- Understand the use of simple microscope.
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
Understanding Cell Culture, and identifying various fungal contamination
