Job Title: Lab Technician I
Reports directly to: Sr. Quality Assurance Manager
Hours: 9:00 am to 5:30 pm
Minimum Qualifications:
· Must be able to read, write and speak English.
· Must be a U.S. citizen or possess the required authorization to work in the U.S.
· Must have basic math skills.
· Must demonstrate competency on all test methods.
· Must demonstrate competency on lab Standard Operating Procedures.
· Must have an understanding of the expected performance of company blends.
· Must be responsible, dedicated, dependable and punctual.
· Must be self-motivated.
· Must have at least 1 to 2 years of baking experience.
· Must be able to work independently and cooperatively with others.
· Must be organized, accurate and thorough with attention to detail and follow up.
· Candidates may be required to take a reading, writing and basic math competency test.
Job Responsibilities:
Responsibilities shall include, but are not limited to:
· Responsible for performing quality performance testing (baking) on blends and raw materials as required.
· Responsible for logging tests of blends for release or rejection.
· Responsible for securing samples from manufacturing.
· Responsible for creating Certificates of Analysis (COA’s).
· Responsible for maintaining well organized, detailed and legible quality assurance records.
· Responsible for maintaining the lab and lab equipment in sanitary condition.
· Responsible for any task assigned by management.
· Responsible for maintaining and improving the safety, legality and quality of the products manufactured for the customers of BCW Food Products.
