Qa Lab Tech Supervisor

The mission for this position as a member of the Quality Assurance Team is to manage all laboratory functions, including personnel scheduling, hiring and training, to ensure smooth and consistent operation of the lab.

The Quality Assurance Lab Tech Supervisor performs all duties required of a Lab Technician with additional responsibilities including:

• All Lab Techs report directly to the QA Lab Tech Supervisor.
• Training of new Lab Techs. Following through with cross-checking lab results and flavor results.
• Scheduling Lab Technicians.
• Oversee and train Lab Technicians to make sure all QA, GMP and HACCP standards are adhered to.
• Report activities to the Quality Lab Manager.
• Assisting Quality Lab Manager in hiring new Lab Techs.
• Assigning and verification of shift calibrations.
• Assist in incident and problem solving with production and shipping.
• Overseeing shift reports/shift pass downs.
• Backup for production paperwork creation.

Lab Technician duties:

• Gather and perform all required finished product testing properly and within all required sample periods.
• Perform all raw product inspections in a timely manner.
• Complete hourly verifications proficiently and report any out of specification results to Production and Quality Management.  
• Perform weekly GMP compliance checks.
• Participate in solving quality and food safety issues.
• Collect and label all required samples correctly and according to aseptic techniques.
• Provide quality and production paperwork when requested and understand Stahlbush’s SBS system.
• Legibly complete all required documentation.
• Maintain all QA equipment and work areas.
• Maintain a high level of confidentiality.
• Comply with GMPs and adhere to hygienic zoning practices.

Schedule

• Wednesday - Friday, 6:00pm - 6:00am
• Rotating Saturday's

Minimum Qualifications

• Science background preferred.  Will accept any combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities
• Experience in Quality Assurance, food science or hands-on lab preferred but not required. 
• Must be detail oriented with very strong math ability. 
• Works under direct supervision of Quality Manager.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
