Job Title: QA Engineer (United States / Canada)

Description:

As a QA engineer, you will contribute to and be responsible for the execution of effective Quality Assurance procedures and defect prevention/detection processes for the database and supporting systems across multiple computing environments. You will lead the quality assurance effort as the sole QA staff member and take the lead in defining the automation framework for quality assurance tests. Reporting on the quality of a product release to the project manager, you will identify where the software meets or fails to meet the defined user requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Identify detailed business design requirements that need testing and determine appropriate tests for these requirements.
• Develop and maintain specific test cases for component/assembly testing, integration testing, system testing, security testing, user interface testing, and regression testing.
• Implement automated testing tools and perform quality and reliability testing efforts.
• Identify and track defects, interact with development staff to isolate and resolve issues, and participate in defect management/triage.
• Validate functionality across system releases.
• Promote necessary communication among the project team to ensure QA efforts are visible and well-understood.
• Design and develop automated functional tests for Rest APIs and build E2E, Regression tests.
• Define, implement, execute, and document test plans, test cases, and test scripts for testing data integrity.
• Ability to write complex SQL queries for OLTP and OLAP workloads. Develop and execute automated tests using SQL, Shell, C#, etc.

Qualifications:

Skills/Knowledge:

• 5+ years of extensive testing experience with PostgreSQL or any other relational database.
• Testing experience with Rest APIs.
• Strong object-oriented knowledge (preferably with C#).
• Strong SQL skills.
• Strong Test Automation skills.
• Experience with PowerShell, MS TEST, NUnit, API testing, Mocking, Postman.
• Manual testing.
• SDET mindset.

Additional Skills (not required but preferred):

• Experience with React applications.
• Experience with Cypress or Selenium.
• Experience integrating automation test code into CI/CD pipeline processes.
