About The Position

We are seeking a Quality Assurance (QA) engineer to join our dynamic team, focusing on testing and improving the quality of our web and mobile applications. You'll be working in a cross-functional team, operating in a fully remote capacity. Though we do maintain physical offices in Beloit, Wisconsin, Bristol, UK, and Brisbane, AU, this position is U.S.-based. We get together quarterly to foster collaboration and mutual understanding. Our ideal candidate will have a background in covering the complete lifecycle of testing activities, including preparation of test plans and test cases, execution of tests, replication of faults, test reporting, retesting and closeout.

This could be working with Product to discuss a new feature and understand requirements early in the process, working closely with developers while designing and executing test plans, or collaborating with or assisting other members of the testing team. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead QA efforts for web and mobile products, ensuring the delivery of high-quality software.
  • All types of functional and non-functional testing, including installation and regression testing.
  • Production of test plans and detailed test cases for new products and product fixes.
  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for both web and mobile applications using appropriate testing frameworks and tools
  • Execution of tests in accordance with plans and release schedules.
  • Accurate reporting of test outcomes and issues.
  • Replication and documentation of faults found during test runs.
  • Lead QA improvement projects
  • Establish and maintain QA processes and standards, continuously refining and optimizing them to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Participate in scrum meetings and work closely with Product and Development teams to discuss and implement new features while considering user needs and business requirements.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in QA and testing.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • 5+ years of experience in QA roles, with a proven track record of testing mobile and web and applications, including front-end and back-end
  • Good understanding of structured testing and test methodologies
  • The ability to document test conditions and test cases
  • The ability to create and execute manual tests for integration and system level testing for both new products and product fixes
  • Ability to diagnose and document complex software defects, system errors, and performance issues efficiently
  • Strong leadership skills, with experience leading and mentoring QA teams
  • Proficiency in automated testing frameworks and tools, with hands-on experience in developing and maintaining automated test scripts
  • In-depth knowledge of QA methodologies, processes, and best practices
  • Experience using SQL Query
  • Experience in non-functional testing
  • ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level (CTFL) certification.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and Atlassian products (JIRA, Confluence)
