Your Role in Keeping the Future in Safe Hands...

 

As theQA and Card Access Configurator for the Global Solutions division of ASSA ABLOY, you will have the opportunity to become a valuable member of our Operations team, making a genuine, positive impact in the lives of our customers. 

Reporting to the Operations Director, you will take the lead in Traka's communication with internal and external partners/customers on Card Control Access and Reader configuration details.

 

What you will do...

 

  • Have a functional knowledge of card control access technologies which include but are not limited to Weigand, Open Supervised Device Protocol, MagStripe, Barcode, etc.
  • Provide technical and product review to Operations during the final manufacturing stage assuring quality standards are met and documented.
  • Have a mechanical aptitude, with logical and analytical faculties, and a grasp of technical methods.
  • Take lead on the documentation & reporting procedures of all quality issues in-line with quality assurance processes.
  • Test, troubleshoot, and repair equipment while documenting procedures with the goal of process improvement
  • Perform as the lead person on the RMA management and warranty hardware processing.
  • Support inventory levels for key and locker cabinet hardware and spare parts.
  • Prepare, configure & test electronic key/locker hardware and software systems to meet customer work order specification and quality standards.
  • Uphold Traka USA's outstanding reputation for delivering superior customer service to retain market edge over competitor products and services.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management, within your scope of practice.

  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot any electrical/mechanical issues in the production environment.
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills and continuous improvement process skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to connect with and positively influence all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent organization skills with the ability to prioritize and multi-task.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of computer networks desirable.
  • Interest in technology and innovation desirable.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
  • Ability to work individually, unsupervised and as part of a team.
  • Capability to prioritize multiple tasks and critically think through complex situations.
  • Ability to follow operational procedures and work to strict project deadlines.
  • Experience in a technical or manufacturing position is desirable.

Physical Requirements

  • Normal, corrective vision range; ability to see color and to distinguish letters, numbers and symbols.
  • Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, bend and reach.
  • Ability to reach with hands and arms.
  • Ability to lift, push and pull up to 75lbs regularly.
  • Ability to work on your feet for 8 hours per day
  • Ability to load and unload trucks as required
