Our team is growing quickly, and we seek a talented and motivated individual to join our Operations team as our first dedicated Asset Manager.
UGE's Asset Manager will oversee the operation and maintenance of our current portfolio of interconnected PV & BESS systems, developing and implementing the process and procedures necessary to both monitor and maintain optimal yields, while enabling the Program to scale at pace with our expanding stable of DG assets.
Reporting Relationships
The Asset Manager will report directly to the Director of Engineering.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct leadership over the operation and maintenance of all interconnected PV & BESS systems within the UGE assets portfolio.
- Review and update site detail inputs and yield modeling within monitoring platforms to improve yield projection accuracy.
- Develop and standardize DAS design and component selection for optimal system monitoring, device communications and project-level cyber security.
- Prepare and maintain a weekly report of system performance metrics including power generation, uptime, and % achievement to modeled targets.
- Establish selection criteria and identify and onboard a network of O&M service providers who satisfy organizational requirements.
- Create O&M case management SOP within ERP software to record, delegate, and track troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair field functions.
- Dispatch field technicians for preventative maintenance, diagnostics and repairs to maintain optimal system output.
- Coordinate with Finance and Off-take business units to facilitate monthly and quarterly invoicing and disclosure reporting.
- Maintain internal account database for coordination and compliance with external REC and grant management business partners.
- Collaborate with Procurement manager to forecast, stock, and maintain inventory as needed for system replacement and augmentation.
- Apply 6 sigma methodology to define, measure, analyze, improve, and control system design from ongoing learnings throughout 20-30 year facility life.
- Disseminate guidance to cross-functional teams to improve forecasting, development, design, and execution as part of the organizational feedback loop.

Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience with distributed energy resources, solar and energy storage preferred
- 5+ years of experience managing O&M/asset management for organization(s) with distributed assets
- Familiarity with systems monitoring software; AlsoEnergy, eGauge, Sunny Pro, SolarEdge etc.
