Assist the Production Planner in coordinating workflow for multiple projects. Plan and prioritize work to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay. Assist the Production Planner in expediting manufactured parts in accordance with production schedules and commitments. Ensure that proper paperwork is on the shop floor. Review production schedule to determine possible and actual shortages and send alerts of potential problems. Expedite scrapped or reworked parts through the shop. Use computer and material/production tracking software (BAAN)(Adept)(Excel). Assist Buyers through material planning, placing orders and expediting. Support of the purchasing process and assisting Buyers.
Principle Accountabilities Include:
- Create custom routings for all projects
- Create and maintain standard routings
- Create production orders from custom and standard routings for all projects based on project requirements
- Process BCN’s from engineering department, revise production orders as required
- Process NCMR’s from engineering department, revise/create production orders as necessary.
- Process Instruction Notices, revise/create production orders as required
- Create daily production order packets from ready to release dispatch list.
- Maintain and expedite shortage list.
- Check firmed planned orders daily for correct buyer and stock at all locations.
- Locate and print drawings and proposals to distribute to Buyers
- Manage the daily ordering of materials from Monterrey
- Follow up with suppliers on scheduled deliveries and maintain schedules in BaaN
- Revise Monterrey purchase order pricing according to the invoicing report
- Duties as assigned by Supervisor or Buyers
