Gorilla Mind (gorillamind.com) is a growing E-commerce Fitness & health supplements brand centering around pre-workout, post-workout, protein, nootropics, energy drinks and other products to support all fitness goals. We seek a Purchasing Specialist to join our Boise team in-office to support our continued growth and success.
Our Purchasing Specialist will be responsible for Inventory purchasing, working with sales/marketing on forecasting, and managing inventory levels of Gorilla Mind products/components from partnered 3rd party vendors for our B2C eCommerce platforms. Responsibilities:
- Manages the health and relationships of current suppliers while aiding in the sourcing of new manufacturing as well as toll manufacturing opportunities alongside the SVP and Operations teams.
- Maintains and creates data for quick, accurate and thoughtful demand planning / Forecasting.
- Routinely works alongside the quality team to ensure products have the correct identity, purity, strength, and composition.
- Helps receive and coordinate orders from our customer's EDI platforms for fast/logical delivery.
- Manages the data entry on all purchase ordering of Gorilla Mind Finished Products using approved systems.
- Strategically plan, develop, and manage inventory purchasing systems.
- Works alongside the Inventory Manager to maintain the health and safety stocks of inventory across all of our warehouses, 3PLs, and other storage locations.
- Working alongside various departments on sourcing and development of new products
- Assists the logistics department with product availability dates (shipping/receiving) and informs of any special cargo-related needs.
- Actively apply themselves to learn about our Brand, Products, Regulations, and Culture.
- Ability to travel to aid and/or participate in relationship building, education/training, and auditing of our stakeholders.
- Able to perform and manage any pertaining ERP/WMS/IMS systems
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field preferred
- Five years experience in supply chain preferred
- Knowledge of business software systems, including iOS, is a plus
- Establishing own purchasing requirements and programs
- Proficient in Google Workspace products (Sheet, Docs, etc.), preferred
- Understanding of supply chain KPIs
- Experience improving vendor relationships
- Effectively and timely collaboration in group settings
- Experience and knowledge of cGMP and FDA compliance standards
- Preferred but not required: 2+ years of dietary supplement industry experience
- Manager-level experience is a plus

Compensation:
60-70,000/year DOE
