LHH is supporting a great client within the Industrial Manufacturing space who is looking for a Purchasing Manager to join their team! This is an onsite opportunity looking for candidates in the Pryor-area.
Position: Purchasing Manager
Responsibilities:
As the Purchasing Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing our procurement processes to ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials and services. Your key responsibilities will include:
Vendor Management: Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure advantageous terms. Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure a reliable and efficient supply chain.
Cost Negotiation: Implement cost-effective strategies to achieve financial objectives without compromising quality or delivery timelines. Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers.
Supply Chain Optimization: Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to streamline supply chain processes, enhance efficiency, and reduce lead times. Monitor and address any supply chain disruptions promptly.
Quality Assurance: Collaborate with quality control teams to ensure that purchased products and materials meet the required standards. Implement and maintain rigorous quality control measures within the procurement process.
Budget Management: Develop and manage budgets for procurement activities. Monitor and report on budget variances, making adjustments as necessary.
Market Analysis: Stay abreast of industry trends, market conditions, and technological advancements. Conduct regular market analyses to identify potential opportunities and risks.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
Proven experience as a Purchasing Manager in the industrial manufacturing sector.
Strong negotiation skills with a track record of achieving cost savings.
In-depth knowledge of supply chain and procurement processes.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Familiarity with relevant software and tools for procurement and inventory management.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Pay Details: $90,000.00 to $110,000.00 per year
