JOB SUMMARY
This position supports the purchasing and sales force by forecast and demand management through a variety of means. The Business Analyst collects data and prepares reports to assist the purchasing and sales efforts.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Monitor sales, inventory, price, and cost trends in order to track results versus sales targets.
Update product pricing appropriately to maximize profitability.
Record impact of changes in price and monthly promotions on sales.
Evaluate and process competitive price adjustment requests from the sales force.
Maintain methodical forecasting approach for updating product demand forecast to help ensure product availability and minimize inventory exposure. Help facilitate spot buys for raw material or components when necessary.
Support the purchasing organization by analyzing purchase prices versus cost of goods sold and standard costs. Update lead times, maintain minimum order quanities, maximum inventory levels and safety stock. Provide additional support when necessary.
Monitor consumable tool purchasing and works with operations to set reorder points.
Evaluate OSP pricing in order to find the most cost effective vendors. Make suggestions for insourcing.
Support the effort to reduce excess/surplus inventory (raw material, consumable tools and supplies) through consumption or selling in the marketplace.

Working knowledge of Microsoft software (excel, word, power point)
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
Experience utilizing SAP software
