Job Description:
A Client in Nuclear Construction is looking to bring on a collaborative and ambitious Procurement Specialist to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing procurement activities for construction and manufacturing projects. The position will be heavily involved in preparing scopes of work as well as both purchasing and sourcing responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies that meet project requirements and objectives.
- Manage the procurement process from start to finish, including sourcing, bidding, and contract negotiation.
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that procurement activities are aligned with project timelines and budgets.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure that procurement activities are carried out in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
- Monitor and report on procurement activities to project stakeholders.
- Source and purchase materials such as engineering services and metals.
- Create scopes of work for procurement activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in procurement, preferably in the nuclear construction and manufacturing industries.
- Strong negotiation skills and experience in contract negotiation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of procurement regulations and standards.
