PURCHASING AGENT

Our company is located in Connecticut and we are seeking dedicated, experienced individuals who are interested in becoming part of our team. Position provides an excellent opportunity to play a role in a fast growing aerospace service company. Our FAA/EASA certificated repair facility services a wide range of aircraft electronic and airframe components used in business and regional aircraft. We are seeking dedicated support professionals who are pursuing rewarding, long term employment. Salary is dependent upon your experience and qualifications. Current posting is for day shift, 08:00-16:30.

Responsible for purchasing all parts and materials and office supplies for the facility. This includes locating suppliers, researching goods, services and materials and processing purchasing orders using the company ERP system and Quickbooks.

Additional responsibilities include:

· Interacting with departments and chairing update meetings as needed;

· Inventory management;

· Monitoring stock levels of consumable items and order replacements as required;

· Monitoring shelf life limited inventory. Remove and replace expired/used material as required;

· Assist with material receiving as required;

· Maintain SDS library;

· Periodic inspection of fire extinguisher/fire suppression systems, and eye wash stations;

· Tool calibration tracking and vendor interface.

· Additional related functions as determined by supervision.

The candidate must have the following qualifications:

Education – BS in Business, accounting or other related field preferred.
2-3 years previous purchasing experience.

Good written, organizational, communication, and negotiation skills required.

Must be able to demonstrate the ability to read, write, and communicate the English language.

Must be able to use Quickbooks, Microsoft Outlook (email), Excel, and Word efficiently. Additional software training for internal programs will be provided as required.

Must be reliable and motivated to keep up with department demands.

Potential exposure to heat, cold, fumes, noise, etc.
Visual acuity to read documents, computer screens, files, etc.
Ability to hear in person and via phone.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour
