Purchasing Agent and Material handling

• Ability to work in a Team atmosphere with General Manager, Engineering Manager, Shop Supervisor and manufacturing floor employees
• Ability to communicate effectively with vendors
• Ability to multi-task working on multiple projects
• Responsible - Follow through
• Ability to Lift 50lbs in order to stock/pick heavy inventory
• Forklift experience or willingness to learn
• Flexibility to switch between "office" and "shop" tasks

Overall Responsibilities: This is a hybrid position where work will be done in both Inventory and Purchasing. Depending on the day, duties will vary based on the production needs.

• Receive components at dock
• Stocks inventory
• Steel unload and organization
• Inventory pick up/drop off at supplier
• Order picking
• Assistance with Inventory staging
• Material prep for outside processing
• Pallet, cardboard, and trash duties
• Area preparation for new parts
• Label distribution/update
• Pallet/Materials consolidation to optimize space
• Issue purchase orders
• Monitor stock and parts on order
• Communicate with Vendors
• Help with yearly pricing and physical inventory

Job Type:
Full-time position preferred. Some overtime may be required at various times. Part-time may be considered.
