Punch Press Setup

Located in Brooklyn Park, MN

Express Employment Professionals is currently assisting a local client in their search to fill a Punch Press Setup position located in New Hope, MN. This is a contract to hire opportunity. As a Punch Press Setup specialist you will be responsible for setting up and operating full and part revolution clutch Punch Presses. Must have experience with performing setups on Punch Presses and coil line equipment. This is a busy, very fast paced environment. Apply Now if you meet the qualifications listed below!

Responsibilities for this Punch Press Setup job include:

• Setting up and operating full and part revolution clutch Punch Presses to run: progressive , compound blank, and stage tooling.
• Set-up and adjust coil feed line equipment
• Performs 1st piece and in-process inspection
• Ability to read tape measure, dial calipers and vernier calipers height gage
• Reads job traveler to determine quantity of parts to run, parts per hour, packaging requirements and and special instructions
• Observes machine operation to detect product defects or machine malfunctions
• Consistently meets or exceeds production run rates.
• Performs minor machine maintenance such as cleaning and oiling of machines

Qualifications:

• Personal qualities of integrity credibility, teamwork and a commitment to clients quality policy
• Reading and following written procedures and work instructions
• Reading blueprints and performing all necessary measurements
• Perform the most complex setup operations without assistance
• Ability to read tape measure, dial calipers and vernier calipers height gage
• Read and interpret prints including GD&T
• Set-up secondary operations (Spot welder, tapper, rivet , grinders, buffers etc.)
• Must have track record of good attendance
• Must be willing to wok OT & some weekends

Pay: Up to $23/hr DOQ
