Punch Out / Field Technician

Work in the field for Southern Indiana’s largest homebuilder! The Punch Out Technician is responsible for supporting our Superintendents, through all aspects of new construction home builds.

The Punch Out Tech will be expected to monitor, communicate, and take necessary hands-on action to ensure the protection of all trade work from damage by others, inclement weather, etc., including closing and locking homes / buildings daily. You will be tasked with completion of punch lists to ensure quality of the final product. Effective communication with subcontractors, suppliers, crews, etc. is a must.

Duties and basic skills include but are not limited to:

• Drywall
• Carpentry
• Painting
• Siding
• Flooring
• Concrete
• Hardware
• Plumbing
• Excavation

Other duties will include:

• Reporting delays to the Superintendent with proposed solutions that will result in minimal impact to the project schedule
• Assist with construction clean-up as needed
• Help monitor and maintain safety rails and other safety measures

Qualifications:

• Hardworking individual with a broad base of construction / home building experience
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Organized and attentive to detail
• Basic understanding of building plans and specifications
• Strong self-leadership
• Personal integrity and profession discretion
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to kneel, squat, bend, reach overhead, stretch, twist, climb stairs / ladders, and lift up to 75 pounds
• Use common office equipment, telephone, locks/keys, tablet
• Ability to stand, walk, sit, talk, hear, and drive; use hands and fingers to feel, grip, handle, and reach with hands and arms, while performing standard duties
• Skid steer experience is a plus
• Bilingual is a plus

Compensation: Hourly rate. Pay is negotiable based upon experience, with a minimum starting wage of $17/hour.
